With the release of Nokia E62 they are really serious about grabbing the candy from Blackberry and Treo huh? Price not available at the time of this article.

PhoneScoop have put up a news piece delving into the FCC database, revealing a stripped down Nokia E61, dubbed the E62, without 3G/Wi-Fi or Pop-Port (mini USB instead). The phone operate on the 850/1900 GSM bands and appears to be aimed at the US market. External photos available here, and the manual here.
- The UAProf (a document describing the device in a machine readable format) for this device gives some hints for the specifications:Symbian 9.1 and S60 3.0
- Data Bearer (connectivity): GPRS and EDGE
- Bluetooth 1.2 with General Access Profile, Serial Port Profile, Headset Profile, Handsfree Profile, Dial-up Networking Profile, Object Push Profile, File Transfer Profile, Basic Imaging Profile, Human Interface Device Profile, Sim Access Profile, General Access Profile and General Object Exchange Profile.
- 240 x 320, TFT, 256,000 (18 bits) colours screen.
The manual reveals other highlights:
- Support for Push email (Nokia Business, Intellisync, Visto, Seven, Exchange, Blackberry).
- USB Mass Storage Mode (see your phone as a hard disk on your PC).
- IP Passthrough support.
- 1500 mAh Battery
- Viewing and editing of Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents through Quickoffice.
- Viewing PDF documents.
- Screen Export feature allow you to to show the device’s screen via a compatiable projector (and thus run Powerpoint Presentations from the device using this feature and Quickoffice).
- Zip Manager for creating and opening ZIP files.
- Print feature allowing to print out documents and messages.
- Voice aid feature allowing you to control profiles, contacts, and start applications with your voice as well as asking your phone to tell you the time or dial a number with your voice.
- Vanity dialing - use letters in the dial number (e.g. 1800-FLOWERS).
- ProTour 3D Gold Game.
- Music player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC and eAAC .
- Flash Player for running Flash Lite animation, videos and applications.
- Positioning Application which (with operator support) receives and show local information such as Traffic or Weather. Positioning can use Network location information or Bluetooth GPS location information.
- Navigation Application which uses a Bluetooth GPS to display location information.
